Can You Use Qantas Points on Luxury Escapes in 2026?
Whether Australians can use Qantas Points on Luxury Escapes in 2026: what Qantas lists as its hotel and holiday partners, how Luxury Escapes' own free Société points programme and paid LuxPlus+ membership work, where Qantas Points do fit, and going through ShopBack Australia before you book.
Can You Use Qantas Points on Luxury Escapes in 2026?
Updated: October 2026. By Garry Shi, Cashback Expert, ShopBack.
For Australians in 2026, Luxury Escapes is not a listed Qantas Frequent Flyer partner, so you should not plan to pay with Qantas Points there. When we checked Qantas's hotel and holiday partner pages in October 2026, they listed 15 partners, from Qantas Hotels and Qantas Holidays to Airbnb and Marriott Bonvoy, and Luxury Escapes was not one of them. Luxury Escapes instead runs Société, a free points programme where you earn on every booking and spend points at checkout, plus LuxPlus+, a paid club with member-only prices.
ShopBack Australia is a free app and website that gives you cash back when you shop or book online at thousands of stores, including Luxury Escapes. You open the store from ShopBack, book as usual, and part of what you pay comes back to your ShopBack account once the trip is confirmed. New members can join free at shopback.com.au/signup.
Other Australian hotel and holiday booking sites you can go through ShopBack for include Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, Trip.com and Hotels.com.
Can you use Qantas Points on Luxury Escapes?
Not as a listed Qantas partner, at the time of writing. Qantas publishes its earn and use partners by category on its Frequent Flyer website, and in October 2026 neither the hotels and accommodation list nor the holidays and experiences list included Luxury Escapes.
Here is what those two Qantas pages listed when we checked:
| Qantas category | Partners listed by Qantas, October 2026 |
|---|---|
| Hotels and accommodation | Airbnb, All Accor, Choice Privileges, Hilton Honors, IHG One Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy, Qantas Hotels, TFE Hotels, World of Hyatt |
| Holidays and experiences | Ahoy Club, Qantas Activities, Qantas Cruises, Qantas Holidays, The Qantas Club, TripADeal |
Qantas also notes that you must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn and use Qantas Points, and that a joining fee may apply.
What this means for your booking: if your goal is to spend a Qantas Points balance on a hotel or holiday, the Qantas-listed options above are where those points are designed to go. If you have found a Luxury Escapes deal you like, treat it as a cash booking, and lower the price with Luxury Escapes' own programmes and ShopBack instead.
Can you earn Qantas Points on Luxury Escapes?
Do not count on earning Qantas Points directly from a Luxury Escapes booking in 2026. Because Luxury Escapes was not on the Qantas partner lists when we checked, there is no Qantas earn rate to quote for it. A Luxury Escapes booking earns Société Points instead, according to Luxury Escapes.
The one place Qantas Points can still show up is your credit card. If you pay with a card that earns Qantas Points, it usually earns on the Luxury Escapes charge like any other purchase, under your card issuer's rules. That is a card feature, not a Luxury Escapes one, so check your card's terms for travel or category exclusions.
Luxury Escapes' official membership programmes: Société and LuxPlus+
Luxury Escapes has two programmes of its own: Société, which is free, and LuxPlus+, which is paid. They do different jobs, and many travellers hold both.
Société: the free points and tiers programme
According to Luxury Escapes, Société lets you:
- Join free. Luxury Escapes says you can get perks, points and VIP benefits without paying to join.
- Earn points on every booking. Offers carry a rewards badge showing how many points you will earn.
- Use points to pay less. You choose how many points to use at checkout, for all or part of your next escape.
- Climb tiers by earning Status Credits and Nights.
The tier thresholds and benefits, as Luxury Escapes publishes them:
| Société tier | To reach it | Free room or package upgrades | Airport lounge passes | Travel protection discount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | No minimum | None | None | None |
| Silver | 200 Status Credits or 10 Nights | 1 | 2 | 5% |
| Gold | 600 Status Credits or 20 Nights | 2 | 2 | 15% |
| Platinum | 1,000 Status Credits or 30 Nights | 4 | 2 | 25% |
Higher tiers also add a free eSIM data allowance on eligible international trips (1 GB at Bronze up to 10 GB at Platinum), tour credits from Silver up, and free airport chauffeur transfers from Gold. Luxury Escapes also offers a Société Credit Card that earns up to 2 Société Points per $1 on eligible purchases.
LuxPlus+: the paid VIP travel club
LuxPlus+ works on the price before you book rather than after. According to Luxury Escapes, members get:
- Member-only prices on hotels, flights, tours, cruises and experiences.
- Bonus inclusions on selected stays and sailings, such as hotel credit or daily breakfast.
- Early access to popular hotels and member-only offers.
- Priority 24/7 customer support.
Luxury Escapes says LuxPlus+ members can save over $836 each year, a figure it bases on savings by the top 10% of active members over 12 months. It offers a 28-day free preview, and says you can cancel any time with no booking minimums.
Is Luxury Escapes membership worth it for Australians in 2026?
Société is usually worth joining because it costs nothing; LuxPlus+ is worth it only if the member prices on your actual trips add up to more than the fee. The $836 figure Luxury Escapes quotes comes from its top 10% of active members, so someone taking one trip a year will usually save less.
A simple way to decide:
- Join Société first. It is free, and points start building from your first booking.
- Start the LuxPlus+ free preview when you are ready to book a specific trip.
- Compare the member and non-member price on the same offer and dates. Luxury Escapes shows both on its LuxPlus+ page examples.
- Keep LuxPlus+ only if the saving on the trips you plan to book this year is larger than the membership cost shown when you join.
Luxury Escapes also has a best price guarantee, which it says will match a better price you find, subject to its best price guarantee terms. Read those terms on luxuryescapes.com before relying on it.
Does Luxury Escapes match Qantas Frequent Flyer status?
Luxury Escapes has run a limited-time Société status match in Australia in 2026 for Qantas Frequent Flyer elite members. Under that offer, as Luxury Escapes described it, you shared your Qantas status details, made an eligible booking, and were matched to an equivalent Société tier:
- Qantas Silver matched to Société Silver.
- Qantas Gold and Platinum One matched to Société Gold.
This is the closest link between the two programmes: your Qantas status can carry over to Société perks, even though your Qantas Points balance does not. Status match offers have end dates and their own terms, so check the Société page on luxuryescapes.com for what is open when you book.
How ShopBack lowers what you pay on Luxury Escapes
Plan the trip, then book through ShopBack. ShopBack is a post-purchase discount: go through it before you pay and the effective price of your Luxury Escapes booking drops.
- Open the ShopBack Australia app or website and go to the ShopBack Luxury Escapes page.
- Read the Terms on that page, then tap through to Luxury Escapes.
- Book and pay in that same session.
- Once the trip is confirmed, cash lands in your ShopBack account.
Cashback lowers what you actually pay for an order. It comes back as cash, so it works like a discount on the price, not like points or miles. That is the key difference from Qantas Points or Société Points: you do not need to spend it inside a travel programme.
Worked example (illustrative). Say a Luxury Escapes hotel package comes to $2,000. At an illustrative 5%, $100 comes back, so the effective price is $1,900. Check the live rate on the ShopBack Luxury Escapes page, because rates differ between hotels, tours, cruises and other booking types, and change over time.
ShopBack Australia is free to join, and cashback is paid as cash you can withdraw, not as points or store credit. The Terms on the ShopBack Luxury Escapes page list which booking types, fees and payment methods count, so read them before you pay rather than after.
Can you use your credit card points and ShopBack on the same Luxury Escapes booking?
You can usually earn cashback and your credit card's rewards or bank card promo on the same purchase, because they come from different places. Your card issuer pays the card points, and ShopBack pays the cash back, so a Qantas-earning card can still earn its points on a booking you made through ShopBack.
A few things to check:
- Sale prices: cashback also applies on sale prices, so a Luxury Escapes sale offer is still worth going through ShopBack for.
- Promo codes and payment methods: some merchant promo codes or payment methods can void cashback. The Terms on the ShopBack Luxury Escapes page list which ones, so check the merchant's terms on ShopBack before you pay.
- Paying with points or credit: if you plan to pay part of the booking with Société Points, gift cards or Luxury Escapes credit, check how the Terms on the ShopBack page treat that part of the price.
- Card surcharges: look at the final payment screen for any fee tied to your payment method.
Hotel booking sites you can go through ShopBack for in 2026
ShopBack Australia works with many of the hotel and holiday sites Australians already use, so the same step applies wherever you book. Alongside Luxury Escapes, these include Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, Trip.com and Hotels.com. Each has its own merchant page with its own Terms and live rate.
Each site also has its own loyalty scheme. Booking.com has Genius, which is free and gives 10% discounts on selected stays at Level 1, according to Booking.com. Agoda, Expedia, Trip.com and Hotels.com run their own member programmes too. Our comparison of AgodaCash, Booking Genius and Hotels.com One Key goes through those side by side.

Luxury Escapes on OzBargain
OzBargain is a community deals site where Australians post and vote on deals, and Luxury Escapes offers and promo codes are posted there regularly. It is a useful place to spot a sale or see what other travellers paid for the same hotel.
Before you book a deal you found there:
- Check whether it needs LuxPlus+. Many Luxury Escapes offers carry a member price.
- Check the dates and minimum spend on the offer page on luxuryescapes.com.
- Read the Terms on the ShopBack Luxury Escapes page, because a code that is not featured on ShopBack can affect whether the booking counts.
- Then open Luxury Escapes from ShopBack and book in that session.
A checklist for booking Luxury Escapes in 2026
- Decide where your Qantas Points go. If you want to spend them, look at Qantas-listed partners such as Qantas Hotels or Qantas Holidays.
- Join Société for free before your first Luxury Escapes booking.
- Try the LuxPlus+ free preview on a real trip and compare the member price.
- Pay with the card that earns the most for you, whether that is Qantas Points or another rewards programme.
- Go through ShopBack before you pay, from the ShopBack Luxury Escapes page.
Frequently asked questions
Can you use Qantas Points on Luxury Escapes?
Not as a listed Qantas partner, at the time of writing. When we checked Qantas Frequent Flyer's hotel and holiday partner pages in October 2026, Luxury Escapes was not among them. Luxury Escapes runs its own free points programme, Société, and you use Société Points to pay for all or part of a booking at checkout. To use Qantas Points on a hotel, Qantas lists options such as Qantas Hotels and Qantas Holidays.
Can you earn Qantas Points on Luxury Escapes bookings?
Luxury Escapes was not on the Qantas Frequent Flyer hotel or holiday partner lists when we checked in October 2026, so do not count on earning Qantas Points directly from a Luxury Escapes booking. Luxury Escapes bookings earn Société Points instead, according to Luxury Escapes. Your credit card may still earn its own points when you pay, under your card's terms.
What is Luxury Escapes Société?
Société is Luxury Escapes' free rewards programme. According to Luxury Escapes, members earn points on every booking, use them to pay for all or part of a future escape, and move up four tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum) by earning Status Credits and Nights. Silver needs 200 Status Credits or 10 Nights, Gold 600 or 20, and Platinum 1,000 or 30.
What is the difference between Société and LuxPlus+?
Société is free and rewards you after you travel, with points and tier benefits. LuxPlus+ is Luxury Escapes' paid VIP travel club, which lowers the price before you book through member-only prices, early access and bonus inclusions on selected stays, according to Luxury Escapes. You can hold both.
Is LuxPlus+ worth it for Australians?
It depends on how often you book. Luxury Escapes says LuxPlus+ members can save over $836 each year, a figure based on savings by the top 10% of active members over 12 months, so lighter travellers will usually save less. Luxury Escapes offers a 28-day free preview, so you can price a real trip at the member and non-member rate before paying for the membership.
Does Luxury Escapes match Qantas status?
Luxury Escapes has run a limited-time status match in Australia in 2026 for Qantas Frequent Flyer elite members. Under that offer, Qantas Silver was matched to Société Silver, and Qantas Gold and Platinum One were matched to Société Gold, after an eligible booking. Offers like this have end dates and terms, so check the Société page on luxuryescapes.com for what is open when you book.
Where can I use Qantas Points on hotels and holidays instead?
Qantas lists its own partners on its Frequent Flyer pages. For hotels and accommodation these included Qantas Hotels, Airbnb, Accor, Hilton Honors, IHG One Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy, World of Hyatt, Choice Privileges and TFE Hotels when we checked in October 2026. For holidays and experiences they included Qantas Holidays, Qantas Activities, Qantas Cruises, TripADeal and Ahoy Club.
How do I pay less on a Luxury Escapes booking with ShopBack?
Plan the trip, then book through ShopBack. Open the ShopBack Luxury Escapes page, read the Terms, tap through to Luxury Escapes and pay in that same session. Part of what you pay comes back to your ShopBack account as cash once the trip is confirmed, so the effective price drops. Check the live rate on the ShopBack Luxury Escapes page before you book.
Can I use my credit card points and ShopBack on the same Luxury Escapes booking?
Usually, yes, because they come from different places: your card issuer pays card points and ShopBack pays cash back. Some promo codes, gift cards or payment methods can stop a booking from counting with ShopBack, so check the merchant's terms on the ShopBack Luxury Escapes page before you pay.
Does ShopBack pay you in points?
No. ShopBack Australia is free to join, and what comes back is paid as cash you can withdraw, not as points or store credit. That is different from Qantas Points or Société Points, which you spend inside each programme.
