Where Is the Cheapest Place to Buy LEGO in Australia in 2026?
Where Australians usually pay least for LEGO in 2026: how Myer, Big W, Amazon Australia, Kmart, Target and LEGO's own store compare, member offers and delivery thresholds, when LEGO goes on sale, and going through ShopBack before you pay.

Short answer. In Australia, the cheapest place to buy LEGO in 2026 is usually whichever big retailer has your exact set marked down on the day, most often Myer, Big W, Amazon Australia, Kmart, Target or LEGO's own store during a sale. When we checked Myer on 8 October 2026, its online LEGO range showed 409 items, with 15% off a range of LEGO sets on items labelled as a MYER one Member Offer, taking the LEGO Icons Shopping Street (11371) from $399.99 to $339.99. Full prices are often similar from store to store, so timing and member offers decide the winner.
ShopBack Australia is a free app and website that gives you money back on online orders at thousands of stores, including Myer, Big W, Amazon Australia and LEGO. You open the store from ShopBack, shop as normal, and part of what you spend comes back to your ShopBack account as cash. New members can join free at shopback.com.au/signup.
How we checked. We looked at the LEGO ranges and offers listed on Myer and LEGO.com Australia, Amazon Australia's Prime page, and the Terms on each store's ShopBack page, in October 2026. Prices above are a snapshot from 8 October 2026; LEGO prices and offers change often, so check the live price before you buy.
Cheapest place to buy LEGO in Australia: Big W, Kmart, Amazon or Myer on sale?
For most sets, the cheapest option is the store running a sale or member offer on that set number that week. There is no single store that always wins on LEGO in Australia, because each retailer discounts different sets at different times.
A simple routine that works for most buyers:
- Note the set number. Every LEGO set has a number, such as 11371 for Shopping Street. Searching by number makes sure you compare the same box.
- Check three or four stores. Myer, Big W, Amazon Australia and Kmart cover most of the market; add Target and LEGO.com for exclusives.
- Compare the total with delivery. A lower item price can lose to a store with free delivery.
- Check member offers. MYER one offers, Amazon Prime delivery and LEGO Insiders can each change the final price.
- Open ShopBack, tap the store, then check out. That way the order you place is tracked and part of it comes back as cash.
LEGO in Australia in 2026: what you are buying
LEGO sells in Australia through its own store and through department stores, discount stores and marketplaces, and most sets are stocked by several of them at once. LEGO.com Australia sorts its range by theme, age and price band (under $25, $25 to $75, $75 to $150, $150 to $250 and over $250), and has sections for New, Exclusives, Offers and sale, Coming soon and Retiring soon.
Two things are worth knowing before you compare:
- Exclusives. Some sets are sold mainly through LEGO.com or selected retailers. If a set is exclusive, you may not find it discounted elsewhere.
- Retiring soon. LEGO.com listed 295 products under Retiring soon when we checked. Retiring sets can see markdowns before they go, then get harder to find.
The category at a glance. If you are buying LEGO online in Australia, the main places to compare are Myer, Big W, Amazon Australia, Target, David Jones, Kmart and LEGO itself.
Myer vs Big W for LEGO in Australia: how they compare
Neither Myer nor Big W is always cheaper for LEGO. Each has strengths, and the gap on any given set depends on who is running a sale that week.
| Myer | Big W | Amazon Australia | |
|---|---|---|---|
| LEGO range online | 409 items when we checked on 8 October 2026 | Broad LEGO range across popular themes | Wide range from Amazon and other sellers |
| Where it shines | MYER one member offers and big department store sales | Discount store pricing for everyday price checks | Fast delivery for Prime members |
| Member programme | MYER one | None needed to shop | Amazon Prime ($9.99 a month or $79 a year) |
| Before you pay | Go through the ShopBack Myer page | Go through the ShopBack Big W page | Go through the ShopBack Amazon page |
Myer suits buyers who want larger or adult sets and are MYER one members. On 8 October 2026 Myer's LEGO page advertised 15% off a range of LEGO sets, on items labelled as a MYER one Member Offer. Examples included LEGO Harry Potter The Burrow Collectors Edition (76437) at $339.99, down from $399.99, and LEGO Wednesday Nevermore Academy (76788) at $101.99, down from $119.99. Offers like this run for limited periods, so check what is live when you shop.
Big W suits families buying everyday sets for kids. It carries a broad LEGO range at discount store pricing, which makes it a useful benchmark when you are checking whether another store's sale price is really low.
Amazon Australia suits people who already have Prime. According to Amazon Australia, Prime costs $9.99 a month or $79 a year after a 30 day free trial, and members get free delivery with no minimum on Prime eligible orders, excluding select remote areas. Check that the seller is Amazon or an authorised seller.
LEGO's own store and LEGO Insiders
LEGO.com Australia is the place for exclusives and new releases; on standard sets, a retailer's sale can come in lower. At the time of writing it offered free delivery on orders above $149.
LEGO runs its own member programme, LEGO Insiders, and promotes members' events such as LEGO Insiders Weekend alongside Black Friday on its site. If you buy from LEGO directly, sign in so any member offers show, and open the ShopBack LEGO page before you pay.
The best LEGO deals in Australia in 2026: when to buy
LEGO discounts in Australia tend to cluster around a few big retail events, so planning a purchase around them usually pays off:
- Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026, and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November 2026. Many Australian retailers run toy and LEGO deals across that week.
- End of financial year (June). EOFY sales often include toys.
- Boxing Day and January sales. Useful for buying ahead of birthdays.
- Retiring soon sets. These can see markdowns before they leave shelves.
- Retailer toy sales. Department and discount stores run their own toy events during the year.
For a set you really want, watch the price at two or three stores in the weeks before one of these events, then buy when it drops. See our guide to saving during Black Friday and EOFY for more.
How ShopBack lowers the price of LEGO
ShopBack lowers the effective price of flights, hotels and online orders after you pay. The steps are short: open ShopBack, tap the store, then check out.
What ShopBack returns lowers what you actually pay for the order. It comes back as cash, so it works like a discount on the price, not like points or miles. Once it confirms, you can withdraw it to your bank account under ShopBack's withdrawal terms.
How to do it, step by step:
- Open ShopBack Australia (app or website) and search for the store you picked: Myer, Big W, Amazon Australia or LEGO.
- Check the rate shown on that page and read the Terms section.
- Tap through to the store and add the set to your cart after you arrive, in that same session.
- Pay as normal. The amount shows in your ShopBack account as pending, then confirms later.
Working out what the set really costs. Your effective price is what you pay at checkout minus the cash ShopBack returns. On a $300 LEGO order at an illustrative 2% rate, $6 comes back, so the effective price is $294. Check the live rate on the store's ShopBack page, because rates differ by store and category and change over time. That also makes comparing stores fair: take each store's checkout price for the same set number, then subtract what ShopBack would return there.
For more on doing this the right way every time, see how to activate before you buy.
Member offers, promo codes and ShopBack together
Usually, a sale price or member price that is built into the item price still lets the order track through ShopBack. Other discounts work differently, so check the merchant's terms and the Terms section on the store's ShopBack page before you pay.
- Promo codes. Some stores still track an order that uses a code listed on its ShopBack page, while some stores make the whole order ineligible if any outside code is used.
- Member programmes. MYER one, Amazon Prime and LEGO Insiders are run by the stores themselves. Whether a member offer and ShopBack both apply usually depends on the store's terms.
- Gift cards and store credit. Amounts paid with gift cards or store credit are often treated differently from card payments.
Kmart, Target and other places to buy LEGO
Kmart and Target both sell LEGO and are worth a quick price check, especially on smaller sets. Kmart is not on ShopBack Australia right now, so compare its price with stores that are, and factor in what ShopBack returns at those stores. Target and David Jones each have a ShopBack Australia page to start from before you pay.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the cheapest place to buy LEGO in Australia?
In Australia the cheapest place to buy a LEGO set is usually whichever big retailer has that exact set marked down on the day, most often Myer, Big W, Amazon Australia, Kmart, Target or LEGO's own store during a sale. Full prices are often similar from store to store, so the saving comes from sales, member offers and timing. Open ShopBack, tap the store, then check out, and part of what you pay comes back as cash.
Is LEGO cheaper at Myer or Big W?
Neither is always cheaper. Myer's online LEGO range showed 409 items when we checked on 8 October 2026, with 15% off a range of LEGO sets on items labelled as a MYER one Member Offer, while Big W carries a broad LEGO range at discount store pricing. Compare the same set number at both on the day, then go through ShopBack before you pay at whichever is lower.
Is Amazon Australia cheap for LEGO?
Amazon Australia often lists popular LEGO sets and is worth a price check, especially if you have Prime. According to Amazon Australia, Prime costs $9.99 a month or $79 a year after a 30 day free trial and includes free delivery with no minimum on Prime eligible orders, excluding select remote areas. Check that the seller is Amazon or an authorised seller, and compare the total with delivery.
Is it cheaper to buy LEGO from LEGO.com Australia?
On standard sets a retailer's sale can come in lower than LEGO.com, but LEGO.com is often the only place for LEGO exclusives and new releases at launch. At the time of writing LEGO.com Australia offered free delivery on orders above $149, and it runs its own LEGO Insiders member programme and events such as LEGO Insiders Weekend.
When does LEGO go on sale in Australia?
LEGO discounts in Australia tend to cluster around big retail events such as Black Friday, which falls on Friday 27 November 2026, the end of financial year sales in June, Boxing Day, and retailer toy sales. Sets that LEGO marks as Retiring soon can also see markdowns before they leave shelves; LEGO.com listed 295 products as Retiring soon when we checked.
What does Retiring soon mean on LEGO sets?
Retiring soon is the label LEGO.com uses for sets it plans to stop selling. If you want a set with that label, buy it before it disappears, because retired sets often become harder to find and can cost more later from resellers.
Does Kmart sell LEGO cheaper?
Kmart sells a range of LEGO sets and is worth checking for smaller sets. Kmart is not on ShopBack Australia right now, so compare its price with Big W, Target, Myer and Amazon Australia, which do have ShopBack pages, and factor in what ShopBack returns at those stores.
How does ShopBack lower the price of LEGO?
ShopBack lowers the effective price of online orders after you pay. Open ShopBack, tap the store, then check out in the same session. Part of what you pay comes back as cash that works like a discount on the price, not like points. The live rate and Terms are shown on each store's ShopBack Australia page.
Can I use a MYER one offer or promo code and ShopBack on the same LEGO order?
Usually a sale price or member price built into the item price still lets the order track through ShopBack. Promo codes not shown on the store's ShopBack page, gift cards and store credit are often treated differently, and some stores do not pay on an order that uses any outside code, so check the merchant's terms and the Terms section on the store's ShopBack page before you pay.
Which other Australian stores sell LEGO?
Besides Myer, Big W, Amazon Australia, Kmart and LEGO.com, Australians often check Target and David Jones for LEGO sets. Myer, Big W, Amazon Australia, Target, David Jones and LEGO each have a ShopBack Australia page to start from before you pay.
