Swann Communications

Swann Communications is a security camera company "founded in 1987 in Melbourne, Australia" with regional stores for Australia (au.swann.com), the US, Canada, the UK and Europe. The range covers wired DVR and NVR kits, Wi-Fi NVRs, Wi-Fi and wire-free cameras, solar panels, smart video doorbells and accessories, controlled through the Swann Security App. Click through from the ShopBack Swann Communications page before ordering and the eligible purchase earns ShopBack cashback at the current published rate.

Secure+ is Swann's optional membership plan, enabled inside the Swann Security App to add features beyond what a camera or recorder does by default. The AU store also promotes SwannShield, an AI voice assistant on supported devices. Swann states that its core products need no recurring subscription, so Secure+ is an add-on rather than a requirement, and current plan tiers and AUD pricing are shown in the app. A Secure+ plan is bought inside the app, separately from a hardware order.

The Australian store runs standing Special Offers, Clearance and Certified Refurbished collections rather than a published calendar. Buying the same kit at a retailer puts you under that retailer's return and warranty handling instead, with Australian Consumer Law guarantees applying either way. A wired DVR or NVR kit records to a local box and Swann states no recurring subscription is required for core recording, so the running cost is the hardware plus power. A Wi-Fi or wire-free camera installs without cable runs, suits renters and sheds, and relies on the Swann Security App, with Secure+ as an optional paid plan. Choose wired for multi-camera coverage of a house you own; choose Wi-Fi or solar wire-free for a single entry or a spot with no power. Swann says no-fault returns are accepted only when it is "less than 7 days since the product was purchased", the product is complete and resaleable, and a Return Authorisation Number has been issued; a restocking fee "as much as the original purchase price less 15%" can apply, and goods sent without an RA Number go back at your expense. Faulty units are handled under warranty, a minimum 24 months on direct purchases, with the sender paying freight in and Swann paying freight back after repair. Australian Consumer Law guarantees also apply.

Swann's Australian store states that "all our servers are secure in Australia" with "no unknown overseas data sharing". Wired DVR and NVR kits also record locally to the box, so day-to-day footage never has to leave the house unless you enable cloud features through the Swann Security App or Secure+. Storage choices do not affect ShopBack cashback, which tracks on the hardware order.
