Where can I buy Yamazaki 12 for less in Australia?

Yamazaki 12: what you are buying
Yamazaki 12 is a 12 year old single malt Japanese whisky made by Suntory at the Yamazaki distillery in Shimamoto, near Osaka. The distillery opened in 1923 and is widely recorded as Japan's first malt whisky distillery.
Product facts for the bottle sold in Australia, according to the BWS listing at the time of writing:
- Size: 700mL
- Alcohol: 43%
- Standard drinks: 23.8
- Style: single malt whisky
- Country of origin: Japan
Yamazaki 12 is a sought-after single malt, and big markdowns on it are not something to count on. That is why, on this bottle, the reliable savings tend to come from delivery, points and going through ShopBack rather than from waiting for a sale.
The Yamazaki range in Australia in 2026
Yamazaki 12 is the core bottle, but Australian stores list other Yamazaki whiskies too. At the time of writing, Liquorland's online search shows four Yamazaki whiskies, all in 700mL bottles:
- Yamazaki 12YO Single Malt Japanese Whisky
- Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve Japanese Whisky, a no-age-statement single malt that is often priced below the 12 year old
- Yamazaki 25YO Single Malt Japanese Whisky
- Yamazaki 12YO House of Suntory 100 Years limited release
BWS lists the Yamazaki 12 Years Old Single Malt 700mL. If your goal is to pay less for a Yamazaki rather than for the 12 specifically, the Distiller's Reserve is often the lower-priced entry point, so compare it on the day. Stock moves often, so search each store on the day.
Liquorland vs BWS: Yamazaki price comparison for 2026
There is no fixed winner between Liquorland and BWS on Yamazaki 12, because both change shelf prices and run their own specials. A fair comparison takes about two minutes:
- Search Yamazaki 12 on both sites on the same day and note the shelf price for the 700mL bottle.
- Add delivery. At the time of writing, BWS delivery is free from $99 and Liquorland standard delivery is free over $149. A single bottle of Yamazaki 12 may clear one threshold and not the other, so this alone can decide the cheaper total.
- Or skip delivery. Pickup is free at both stores, and BWS pickup is ready in about 30 minutes.
- Count your points. Link Flybuys at Liquorland or Everyday Rewards at BWS if you already collect one of them.
- Start on ShopBack, then shop at the store as usual. Open the store's ShopBack page, tap through and check out in the same session.
We do not publish shelf prices here because they change often. Run the comparison on the day you buy.
Liquorland: delivery, pick-up and Flybuys
Liquorland suits buyers who are adding a few bottles to one order or who prefer free pick-up. According to Liquorland's site at the time of writing:

If you plan to go through ShopBack, use only codes shown on the ShopBack Liquorland page, because codes from other places can stop an order from tracking. Before you check out, start on the ShopBack Liquorland page.
BWS: delivery, pickup and Everyday Rewards
BWS suits buyers who want the bottle today, because it offers ASAP delivery and pickup in about 30 minutes. According to BWS at the time of writing:

Best Yamazaki deals in Australia in 2026: when to buy
The best time to buy Yamazaki 12 in Australia is usually during a store promotion you can combine with free delivery and going through ShopBack. Whisky promotions in Australia often cluster around:
- Father's Day in September
- Black Friday and Click Frenzy in November
- Christmas gifting in December
- Each store's own catalogue specials throughout the year
Popular single malts do not drop on a set schedule, so the reliable method is to check both stores when you are ready to buy rather than waiting for a sale that may not include the 12.
Start on ShopBack before you buy
ShopBack works like an automatic cash discount on your online order. Start on ShopBack, then shop at the store as usual, and ShopBack Australia gives you cashback on the eligible amount. Cashback lowers what you actually pay for an order. It comes back as cash, so it works like a discount on the price, not like points or miles.
Worked example (illustrative). You order Yamazaki 12 and a second bottle for a $150 order. At an illustrative 3% rate, $4.50 comes back as cash, so the effective price is $145.50. Rates differ by store and change over time, and some liquor categories can be excluded, so check the live rate and terms on the ShopBack Liquorland page or the ShopBack BWS page before you check out.
How to do it:
- Open the ShopBack app or website and search for Liquorland or BWS.
- Read the rate and terms on the store's ShopBack page.
- Tap through to the store and add Yamazaki 12 to your cart.
- Check out in the same session, using only codes shown on ShopBack.
For more on how this works, see what is cashback and how to activate cashback before buying.
