Freedom, also known as Freedom Furniture, is an Australian furniture and homewares chain founded in 1981 that sells through stores and warehouses across Australia and online at freedom.com.au. The range covers sofas, armchairs, dining and living furniture, beds, bedroom storage, desks, Freedom and Sealy mattresses, rugs, outdoor furniture and homewares such as bed linen and cushions. Freedom says myFreedom is free to join in store or online for individuals aged 18 or over in Australia, one membership per person, no trade customers. The core benefit is a $50 myFreedom Reward Voucher for every $1,500 of qualifying spend within a rolling 12-month period. Vouchers load onto your account, can be used in whole or part in store and online, give no change, and expire three months from issue. You must identify as a member before purchase, and cancelling the membership forfeits any vouchers.

Freedom does not publish a dated calendar, but its promotions pages show the recurring shapes: site-wide homewares offers, autumn and winter sofa and furniture events, mattress flash sales, myFreedom member exclusives and second-item offers on sofas and homewares. On the Australian retail calendar, Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026 and Boxing Day on 26 December 2026. ShopBack lists Sale Items as a separate cashback category for Freedom, so a sale purchase still tracks but may do so at a different rate from full-price orders.

Standard deliveries start from $14.95, small furniture from $75 and large furniture from $160, with the final charge calculated at checkout from your suburb and postcode. The site also advertises free local delivery on orders over $499 for a published list of eligible suburbs in NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA and ACT. Freedom delivers within Australia only, not to PO boxes, parcel lockers or GPO addresses, and someone aged 18 or over must be home to accept. Furniture and homewares in one order may arrive as separate deliveries.

Freedom says Click + Collect is free on applicable items. The product page shows whether your nearest store has stock, and larger furniture can be collected from Freedom's warehouses, one in each major capital city. Freedom emails and texts when the order is ready, you can nominate someone else to collect at checkout, and collection requires photo ID plus the ready-to-collect message. Orders must be collected within 14 days or they may be cancelled and refunded.

Homewares bought online or paid for and collected in store can be returned within 30 days of delivery (online) or purchase (in store) for a refund or exchange, provided they are in original condition, in unopened sealed packaging and accompanied by proof of purchase. Excluded are upholstered and furniture products, clearance and sale items, seconds and floor stock, and made-to-order pieces. Furniture change of mind is at Freedom's discretion and may carry a cancellation charge, disclosed in advance. myFreedom members get extended returns. Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply regardless.

The Freedom and Sealy 120 Night Mattress Comfort Guarantee lets you exchange a mattress once within 120 nights of receiving it, after sleeping on it for at least 40 nights. You must buy a waterproof mattress protector on the same receipt and use it from the first night, and the mattress must sit on an appropriate foundation with slats no more than 7cm apart. Damaged or soiled mattresses are excluded, no refund is given if the replacement costs less, any price difference is paid before the exchange and normal delivery fees apply. It covers Freedom and Sealy bedroom mattress ranges only; online-exclusive mattresses and floor stock are excluded.
