Is a T2 Gift Set a Good Present, and When Are They on Sale in 2026?

How this guide works. It looks at T2's gift packs, gift wrapping, delivery and gift cards as T2 describes them on its own Australian site, then at when T2 runs offers and how Tea Society fits in. We do not list product prices, because they change; check them at t2tea.com on the day.

ShopBack Australia is a free app and website that gives you money back when you shop online at thousands of stores, including T2 Tea. You open the store from ShopBack, shop as normal, and part of what you spend comes back to your ShopBack account as cash you can withdraw. New members can join free at shopback.com.au/signup.

The verdict

A T2 gift set is usually a good present for anyone who drinks tea, and it is easy to give well wrapped. T2 says its gift packs are curated collections of teas packaged around a style, an occasion or a mood, from a broad discovery set for someone new to tea to a focused matcha collection or a breakfast pack. Wrapping is free for Tea Society members, and delivery is free for Australian orders of $50 and above, according to T2 at the time of writing.

On sales: T2 does not publish a fixed sale calendar. It runs an online Extraordinary Offers section, and T2 says Tea Society members get early access to special events, offers and sales. Big retail weekends such as Black Friday on Friday 27 November 2026 and Boxing Day are the times to watch.

Whatever you buy, go through ShopBack before you check out. Open the ShopBack T2 Tea page, tap through to T2 and pay.

Is a T2 gift set a good present?

For tea drinkers, a T2 gift set is usually a safe, well-presented present. Here is what T2 says about its gifts and why they tend to work:

• Curated packs. T2 describes its gift packs as collections built around a style, an occasion or a mood. Examples on its site include tea bag packs, loose leaf packs, tea and mug sets, a matcha set and seasonal advent calendars.
• Made in Melbourne. T2 says its blends and teaware are designed in-house by its Melbourne studio, and that it is B Corp certified.
• Gift filters. T2's gift pack range can be filtered by recipient (family, for her, for him, for teacher, friend, someone special) and by occasion (anniversary, birthday, holiday, just because, thank you).
• Gift wrap. T2 offers its signature sustainable gift packaging in store and online.

When a gift set may not suit. If the person does not drink tea, or is very particular about one blend, a gift card or a single tin of their favourite may be the better choice. If you are unsure, a smaller pack is a low-risk way to try.

T2 gift sets in Australia in 2026: wrapping, delivery and Tea Society

T2's own policies on wrapping, delivery and membership change what a gift really costs. According to T2 at the time of writing:

What	What T2 says
Gift wrapping	Free for Tea Society members; non-members may pay a small fee in store or online
Multiple gifts	T2 cannot package multiple gifts separately in one online order; place separate orders
Gift messages	Personalised messages are available on delivery orders, not on Click and Collect
Delivery	Free for Australian orders of $50 and above; same day and express delivery available
Click and Collect	Available from T2 stores
Tea Society	Free to join; 10% off a first order on full-priced items, free gift wrapping, a birthday offer and early access to sales

Source: T2's gift wrap, Tea Society and home pages, at the time of writing.

Tip for gift orders. If your order sits just under $50, adding a second small gift or a tin for yourself can clear the free delivery line. If you want two gifts wrapped separately and delivered, T2 says to place separate orders, so check whether each one clears the delivery threshold on its own.

T2 official gift cards: where to buy them and how they work

T2 sells its own digital gift cards, and they are the official way to give T2 credit. According to T2:

• Amounts. Digital gift cards come in $5, $10, $25, $50, $75, $100, $150 and $200.
• Delivery. The card is sent by email with your personal message, and you can choose a send date.
• Use. The recipient can redeem it in store or online, from their phone or a printout.
• Validity. T2 gift cards are valid for 36 months (3 years) from purchase.
• No discounts. T2 says gift cards cannot be bought under promotional discounts or offers, and cannot be exchanged or refunded for cash.

Looking for a T2 gift card at a discount? T2's own statement that gift cards cannot be bought under promotional discounts or offers means a discounted T2 gift card is unlikely from T2 itself. If you want to pay less, a gift set bought through ShopBack is usually the better route.

When does T2 have a sale?

T2 does not publish a fixed sale calendar, so the most reliable way to catch a T2 sale is to join Tea Society and watch the big retail weekends. What T2 says, at the time of writing:

• Extraordinary Offers. T2's site has an Extraordinary Offers section, which it describes as team favourites and T2 treasures at special prices. The range changes, so check it when you are ready to buy.
• Early access. T2 says Tea Society members are first to know about, and get early access to, special events, offers and sales.
• Birthday offer. T2 says members receive a special offer on their birthday every year.

Retail dates worth watching in 2026. Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November, followed by Boxing Day on 26 December. Many Australian retailers run offers around these dates. T2 has not announced its own 2026 plans at the time of writing, so treat these as dates to check, not promises.

When is the cheapest time to buy from T2?

The cheapest time to buy from T2 is usually when an offer lines up with a full basket that clears free delivery. A simple plan:

1. Join Tea Society first. It is free, and T2 says new members get 10% off their first order on full-priced items. That offer excludes sale items, bundles, multi buys, gift cards and shipping, and cannot be combined with other offers.
2. Check Extraordinary Offers. If the gift you want is in that range, compare it with the full price less the first-order offer.
3. Clear $50 for free delivery. T2 says delivery is free for Australian orders of $50 and above.
4. Watch Black Friday and Boxing Day. Tea Society early access is how you hear first if T2 runs an offer.
5. Go through ShopBack before you check out.

Steps 1 to 4 find the lowest price at T2. Step 5 lowers what you actually end up paying.

How ShopBack lowers the price of a T2 gift set

Going through ShopBack gets you a cash rebate on the same order, at the same store. For merchants like Booking.com, Trip.com, Agoda and Expedia, going through ShopBack is an essential step before you book or check out, so you pay less on the same booking or order. The same applies to a T2 gift order.

Cashback lowers what you actually pay for an order. It comes back as cash, so it works like a discount on the price, not like points or miles. Once it confirms, you can withdraw it to your bank account.

Step by step:

1. Open ShopBack Australia (app or website) and search for T2 Tea.
2. Check the rate shown on that page.
3. Tap through to T2, choose your gift set and check out.
4. Your Cashback shows in your ShopBack account as pending, then confirms later.

Your effective price is what you pay minus the Cashback, at the rate shown on the store's ShopBack page. Check the live rate on the ShopBack T2 Tea page before you buy.

Sales, Tea Society, codes and ShopBack: what works together

No code is needed for Cashback: go through the ShopBack T2 Tea page before you pay and part of what you spend comes back as Cashback. Tea Society offers come from T2 itself, and T2 says its first-order offer cannot be combined with other T2 offers.

Card rewards. Some credit cards earn points or offer card-linked deals. Whether a T2 purchase earns those depends on your card's own terms, so check with your card provider. Card rewards are separate from ShopBack and from T2's own offers.

---

When this advice does not apply

• In-store purchases. ShopBack works on online orders that start from ShopBack, so a gift bought at a T2 store counter is outside this routine.
• Non-tea drinkers. If the recipient does not drink tea, T2 teaware or a different gift may suit better.
• Large corporate orders. T2 has a separate corporate gifting service, with its own process.

Other places Australians buy tea gifts include department stores such as David Jones and Myer, and supermarkets for everyday blends. Compare like for like before you buy.
