History The founding members of the trading name Miller s fashion club, Sam Moss, Ian Miller, and Gary Perlstein, started the first two stores emphasising on the speciality fashion market. 100 fully operational stores were successfully profitable with a revenue of $50 million by 1997. This was just the beginning. After their listing in the Australian Stock Exchange as Miller s retail limited, they acquired 21 Jody s stores and integrated the business as Miller s Fashion Club. By that time, they had 450,000 loyal members. By 2006, they have rebranded the corporate name to Specialty Fashion Group (SFG) after acquiring Fashion Rack chain of stores (1999), Katies & Crazy Prices discount variety chain (2000), 1626 (2005 - rebranded to Autograph), The Chain Reaction (2006) and The Big City Chic (2006) line of stores. Post acquisition, a name change was called for and finally City Chic was the name they have decided. By this time, the total revenue generated was more than $500 million. The growth still continues and women around Australia are happy in many ways.
