Is Petstock's Rewards Program Worth It in Australia in 2026?
Petstock Rewards in Australia now pays fixed Pet Cash on marked products and 1 Everyday Rewards point per $1 once you link your card, with 2,000 points worth $10. How much that is worth, who it suits, and how going through ShopBack Australia lowers the price of the same Petstock order.
Is Petstock's Rewards Program Worth It in Australia in 2026?
Updated: October 2026. By Ziling Liu, Personal Finance Editor, ShopBack.
Petstock Rewards is usually worth it in Australia in 2026 if you buy pet food, litter or treats at Petstock a few times a year. According to Petstock, members earn fixed Pet Cash, from 10 cents to $20, on specially marked products, and collect 1 Everyday Rewards point per $1 on product purchases once they link an Everyday Rewards card. Everyday Rewards turns 2,000 points into $10 off a future shop. Whatever you earn, go through the ShopBack Petstock page before you check out online.
ShopBack Australia is a free app and website that gives you money back on online orders at thousands of stores, including Petstock. You start from ShopBack, shop as normal, and part of what you pay comes back to your ShopBack account as cash you can withdraw. New members can join ShopBack Australia free before their next Petstock order.
Is Petstock's rewards program worth it?
Yes for regular Petstock shoppers, because the points side returns about 50 cents per $100 spent and Pet Cash adds a fixed amount on the marked products you already buy. The figures below come from Petstock's Rewards page and the Everyday Rewards website at the time of writing.
| What Petstock Rewards gives you | Figure | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Pet Cash on marked products | Fixed amounts from 10c to $20 per product | Petstock Rewards page |
| Pet Cash when the product is on sale | Same fixed amount as at full price | Petstock Rewards page |
| Pet Cash expiry | Three months from the end of the month earned | Petstock Rewards FAQs |
| Everyday Rewards points at Petstock | 1 point per $1 on product purchases, once linked | Petstock Rewards page |
| Value of 2,000 Everyday Rewards points | $10 off a future shop, or 1,000 Qantas Points | Everyday Rewards |
| Spend for $10 from points alone | About $2,000 | Worked out from the two figures above |
| Time for points to load | Up to 14 business days | Petstock Rewards terms summary |
Who it suits best: households with a dog or cat on a regular food brand that carries Pet Cash, people who already collect Everyday Rewards at Woolworths, and anyone who uses Petstock services such as DIY Dog Wash, Puppy School or grooming, since Pet Cash can be spent on those.
Who gets less from it: people who buy at Petstock once or twice a year, or whose usual products do not carry Pet Cash. On points alone, a $300 year at Petstock earns 300 points, which is well short of the 2,000 needed for a $10 reward unless you also shop at Woolworths.
Petstock rewards in Australia for 2026: how it works
Petstock changed its Rewards program from 1 July 2025, replacing Petstock Dollars and Brand Cash with Pet Cash and Everyday Rewards points. Here is how it works now, according to Petstock.
- Sign up to Petstock Rewards online, in the Petstock app or in store.
- Link your Everyday Rewards card in your Petstock account (Account, then the Rewards tab), or ask staff in store. Once linked, you do not need to scan the card each time.
- Earn Pet Cash on products marked with Pet Cash ticketing, in store and online.
- Collect Everyday Rewards points at 1 point per $1 on product purchases, including the products that also earn Pet Cash.
- Redeem Pet Cash on your next shop, on many products or services, within three months of the end of the month you earned it.
What does not earn. Pet Cash excludes gift cards, adoption fees, microchipping, vet services and medicines, and shipping. Everyday Rewards points exclude services, gift cards, adoption fees, gas bottle sales and refills, freight and business trade account purchases, according to Petstock.
Petstock membership rewards and benefits: are they worth it?
The value depends mostly on whether your regular products carry Pet Cash, because Pet Cash is fixed per product while the points side is a flat 1 point per $1.
Pet Cash. Petstock's own example is $5 Pet Cash on a bag of Glow dog food at its full price, and the same $5 when that bag is on sale. Because the amount does not shrink on promotion, Pet Cash is worth the most when you buy a marked product during a sale. The list of participating products changes, so check the Pet Cash section of Petstock's Rewards page or the shelf tickets.
Everyday Rewards points. Every 2,000 points becomes $10 off at Woolworths and other eligible partners, or 1,000 Qantas Points if you choose that option, according to Everyday Rewards. On Petstock spend alone that is about 0.5 percent back. The points sit in the same balance as your supermarket points, so most households reach 2,000 faster than Petstock spend alone suggests.
How to judge it for your household. Add up roughly what you spend at Petstock in a year. At $1,200 a year, the points side alone is worth about $6 in Everyday Rewards. If two of your regular items carry Pet Cash, the fixed amounts on those can be worth more than the points. The main cost is the few minutes it takes to sign up and link your card.
Petstock's official membership programme benefits beyond points
Pet Cash can be spent on Petstock services as well as products, which is where it is most useful for dog owners. According to Petstock, Pet Cash can be redeemed on many products or services, including DIY Dog Wash, Puppy School and grooming appointments.
Changes to older rewards. Petstock says members no longer earn Petstock Dollars on new purchases and that it stopped offering Brand Cash on selected brands. Earned Petstock Dollars expire under their existing expiry conditions, and unused Brand Cash earned before 1 July 2025 was usable until 30 September 2025 at the latest. If you have an old balance, check your account.
Read the full rules. Petstock's Rewards terms say spend must be in a single transaction on eligible purchases, exclusions apply, and offers may be withdrawn. The full terms and conditions are linked from the Petstock Rewards page on petstock.com.au.
Petstock and ShopBack in 2026
Going through ShopBack is an essential step before you check out at Petstock online, so you pay less on the same order. It works the same way Australians use it before booking with Booking.com, Trip.com, Agoda or Expedia: you start your Petstock order from ShopBack Australia, and part of what you pay comes back as cash once the order is confirmed.
Cashback lowers what you actually pay for an order. It comes back as cash, so it works like a discount on the price, not like points or miles. That is the main difference from Petstock Rewards: Pet Cash has to be spent at Petstock within about three months, while the money back from ShopBack Australia is cash in your ShopBack account. ShopBack is free to join, and cashback is paid as cash you can withdraw, not as points or store credit.
Your effective price is what you pay minus the cash ShopBack returns. Worked example (illustrative): on a $150 Petstock order of dry food and litter at an illustrative 5 percent, $7.50 comes back, so the effective price is $142.50. Check the live rate on the ShopBack Petstock page, because rates and Terms change.
How to do it on a Petstock order:
- Open the ShopBack Petstock page in the ShopBack Australia app or on the website.
- Check the rate shown and read the Terms, then tap through to Petstock.
- Log in to your Petstock account on the website that opens, so your Rewards details are attached.
- Pay in the same visit. If something interrupts checkout, restart from the ShopBack Petstock page.
Using rewards and ShopBack together. Usually you can stay logged in to Petstock Rewards while you go through ShopBack, but check the Terms on the ShopBack Petstock page first, because some stores exclude orders that use member discounts or codes not featured on ShopBack. If a member price or code matters to you, read the Terms before you apply it.
The category in one line: Australians comparing pet stores usually also look at Petbarn and Pet Circle, each with its own ShopBack page, rate and Terms.

Whichever deal you use, start the online order from the ShopBack Petstock page before you check out.
Frequently asked questions
Is Petstock's rewards program worth it?
Petstock Rewards is usually worth joining if you buy pet food or litter at Petstock more than a couple of times a year. According to Petstock, members earn fixed Pet Cash on specially marked products and, once they link an Everyday Rewards card, 1 Everyday Rewards point per $1 on product purchases. Everyday Rewards turns 2,000 points into $10 off a future shop, which is about 50 cents back per $100 spent. Pet Cash adds more on the marked products you already buy.
How does Petstock Rewards work in 2026?
Petstock Rewards has two parts, according to Petstock. Pet Cash is a fixed dollar amount, from 10 cents to $20, earned on selected products marked in store and online, which you redeem on your next shop. Everyday Rewards points are collected at 1 point per $1 on product purchases once your Petstock Rewards account is linked to your Everyday Rewards card. Petstock changed its program terms from 1 July 2025 to introduce Pet Cash.
What is Petstock Pet Cash?
Pet Cash is Petstock's own reward currency, earned in fixed amounts from 10 cents to $20 on specially marked products, according to Petstock. The amount stays the same whether the product is at full price or on promotion. Petstock's own example is $5 Pet Cash on a bag of Glow dog food, still $5 when that bag is on sale. You can spend Pet Cash on many products and services, including DIY Dog Wash, Puppy School and grooming.
When does Petstock Pet Cash expire?
Petstock says you have three months to redeem Pet Cash from the end of the month in which you earned it. Staff remind you in store, and you can check your balance online or in the Petstock app. If you buy pet food on a monthly or six-weekly cycle, you will usually spend Pet Cash before it lapses.
Do you earn Everyday Rewards points at Petstock?
Yes, once you link your Petstock Rewards account to your Everyday Rewards card. According to Petstock, linked members collect 1 Everyday Rewards point per $1 spent on product purchases in store and online, including products that also earn Pet Cash. Services, gift cards, adoption fees, gas bottle sales and refills, freight and business trade account purchases do not earn points. Petstock says points can take up to 14 business days to load.
How much are Everyday Rewards points from Petstock worth?
Every 2,000 Everyday Rewards points can be turned into $10 off a future shop, or into 1,000 Qantas Points, according to Everyday Rewards. At Petstock's earn rate of 1 point per $1, that is $10 of value for every $2,000 spent on product purchases, or about 0.5 percent. The points are pooled with what you earn at Woolworths and other partners, so they add up faster if you shop there too.
What happened to Petstock Dollars and Brand Cash?
Petstock says members no longer earn Petstock Dollars on new purchases and that it stopped offering Brand Cash on selected brands. Earned Petstock Dollars expire under their existing expiry conditions. Unused Brand Cash earned before 1 July 2025 was usable until 30 September 2025 at the latest, according to Petstock.
Can I use Petstock Rewards and ShopBack on the same order?
Usually you can log in to Petstock Rewards and still start your online order from ShopBack, but check the Terms on the ShopBack Petstock page first, because some stores exclude orders that use member discounts or codes not listed on ShopBack. Go through the ShopBack Petstock page before you check out, log in to your Petstock account on the website it opens, and pay in the same visit.
How does ShopBack lower the price of a Petstock order?
ShopBack Australia returns part of what you pay as cash after the order is confirmed, so your effective price is what you pay minus the cash ShopBack returns. On a $150 Petstock order at an illustrative 5 percent, $7.50 comes back, so the effective price is $142.50. Check the live rate on the ShopBack Petstock page before you check out.
Where do Australians find Petstock deals?
Petstock lists its current specials in its catalogue and promotions pages, and OzBargain members often post Petstock deals with dates and conditions. Deals change quickly, so check the post date and confirm on petstock.com.au. Whichever deal you use, start the online order from the ShopBack Petstock page before you check out.
Key takeaways

- Pet Cash can be spent on services such as DIY Dog Wash, Puppy School and grooming.
- Go through the ShopBack Petstock page before you check out online, and check the live rate and Terms there.
